THE LONDON BUS GUIDE
The London scene and is especially recommended to those who’ve rarely, or never, visited the capital.
Separate sections give details of
The Operators - Who are they? Who runs what?
The Buses - The types currently in use, with a photograph of every variant for easy recognition
The Garages - Their addresses, the buses in their allocations, the routes they run
The Routes - Peak Vehicle Requirements, frequencies, designated bus types
In addition . . . An Overview section explains the system - how fares work, how contracts are awarded and what criteria the operators, and the bus types, have to meet. There’s even a section on the mysteries of the integral bus and the latest ECWVTA specification, and a final summary of the ‘added extras’ you can enjoy in London.
In short, pretty much all you need to know.

LONDON ENVIRO 400
In the late summer of 2011, Stagecoach received the 1,000th ADL Enviro400 double-decker to be delivered to a TfL operator in London. This DVD is the story of the previous five years - from the entry into service of the first Metroline bus, TE665, to the latest route conversions in 2011.
Every London operator of the Enviro is featured, and there’s a behind-the-scenes look at Abellio’s Battersea garage, along with a visual illustration of the major differences between the six-cylinder diesel and the diesel-electric hybrid.
Informative graphics provide an at-a-glance summary of the batches delivered to each major operator.
Specially-filmed ‘on the road’ footage from numerous locations shows the fleets at work in high definition quality widescreen.
In short, this is the full package - the complete and utter story of the ADL Enviro400 in London.

SHOWBUS 2011
Whether you attended Showbus 2011 or not, you won’t want to miss the DVD of the Duxford show. This remarkable event was covered by five of our cameramen from numerous locations, and even from the air.
We show the fantastic variety of buses and coaches en route to Duxford, from RMs & RTs belting down the A505, to the MCV demonstrator VM1 negotiating the M11 roundabout. We then move the action to the procession of arrivals at the Imperial War Museum site. We were given unlimited access by the organisers, allowing our cameras to set up in restricted areas to give you the very best views of this fascinating part of the day.
We also feature the Maidstone & District centenary parade and, thanks to Classic Wings, take to the sky in a Dragon Rapide to film the show from a different angle. Then there’s the Duxford village tours - especially nostalgic - and a close-up look at the bus displays. You will also see the various award-winners, representing the 1930s to the present day . . . and a final set-up involving the number 1,000 and a ‘fly-past’ of our very own.
This is Showbus 2011.
DVD Features: Motion-menus and our commentary-off option.
Quality Assurance: Each DVD is factory-pressed from an original glass master.

STREETS OF LONDON
Streets of London explores different aspects of TfL operations in the capital and starts from a simple premise: If we find something interesting, you will too. With more than 8,000 vehicles in the various fleets, a huge number of routes and more than a hundred different bus types, it’s taken us the best part of a year to get round the entire network and form an accurate picture of the current scene.
In this volume:
The Square Mile: The City of London financial area isn’t all banks, grand buildings and branches of Starbucks. There’s dozens of bus routes too, criss-crossing the narrow streets in a mesmerising tangle. We un-pick the spaghetti and show you some of the very best locations to visit.
Single-Deckers: We round up some of the more interesting . . . by which we mean routes that are not only worked by Enviro 200s.
Bendy Farewell: After a very short period, the articulated experiment in the capital has been brought to an end. Starting with route 25 and working through to the last survivor, route 207, this is our survey of the final year of Mercedes Citaro artics.
The RV1: You’ve probably heard about it, but have you seen it close up? The plan was to have eight hydrogen fuel cell buses running between Aldwych and Tower Hill in 2011, but the reality has been very different. Count the different types!Potters Bar: As a taster of future programmes, we head out into the country (about as far as you can go, London-wise) for a tour of the garage and a re-visit for the 2011 open day.
Touristas: Love them or hate them, sight-seeing tours do add extra interest. And there are so many.
iBus: What is it, where can you find it, how does it work, and what happens behind the scenes? We invade a control room to find out.
Routemasters: The 9H and 15H - RMs, refurbished, Stagecoach and First Group. London’s major icon marches on.
DVD Features: Motion-menus, chapter points and our commentary-off option.
Quality Assurance: Each DVD is factory-pressed from an original glass master.
Approx 75 mins - £19.95

Red All Over
by David Maxey
Red All Over is a personal view of the current London bus scene, but with a strong 'review' element to highlight the major changes that happened in 2011 - not least the replacement of the last seven bendybus routes with double-deck types. All of those are covered in detail, alongside sections devoted to subjects like hybrids, single-deckers, refurbs and special paint jobs, to name but a few.
The book rounds off with an extensive section devoted to the New Bus for London launched on December 16th, a preview of the more interesting changes scheduled for 2012 . . . and the last-gasp arrivals which managed to sneak into the capital before New Year's Eve.
Could it be more complete? Not much.
More than 200 stunning photographs,
20,000 words,
extended captions and summary tables,
120 pages A4, full colour throughout.
